Where to get new customers? A customer comes to you once and never comes again. Your clientele is not stable and walks in circles.
Heard of a case or maybe your case? These thoughts and some suggestions won’t fit on one phone screen, because unfortunately that’s how long a person can hold attention these days, but if you’re ready to read longer, there will be some valuable suggestions from my experience.
Students regularly ask me how I got such a stable clientele that I can’t take new ones anymore. At the beginning, you have to understand that all this does not happen immediately in the first month or even in a year – you have to understand and accept it right away. I started by running after every client, in the beginning I also drove home, I took every opportunity to get a job and thus train my hand, and stubbornness and persistence were an integral part.
My first suggestion is to start working in a beauty salon, because there are also other masters working there in parallel, who will mostly recommend you to their clients. Of course, one should not sit and hope that now I am sitting in the salon and others will supply me with clients. No! You also have to work on your own advertising and self-presentation. You can stand on your head in the dark, without the help of hands, thinking that you are the best, but if no one sees it, then no one knows. All this can be shown with a high-quality Instagram, Facebook or TikTok account, further promoting it with paid advertising.
The next important thing, in order for masters, other people and customers to recommend going to you, is to have good jobs, which will not be without good qualifications and continuous education. The beauty care industry is changing rapidly, what was relevant yesterday is no longer relevant and does not work today, the most effective methods and means have been developed. When was the last time you attended a course or seminar? The basic course will not be enough for a long time, and as soon as one knowledge is consolidated, it is necessary to continue learning it. The most important recommendation – “Outstanding service!”. A person is a creature that needs everything easy, beautiful and comfortable.
I would start with choosing a place – it is easy to reach, there is a place to park your car nearby, the rooms are fresh, clean, pleasant to be in, comfortable couch. The place should be pleasant in all aspects.
The materials and equipment you work with. Materials that do not bite during the procedure, it is not necessary to avoid moisturizing the eyelashes for 24 hours, longer durability of eyelashes, etc. – these are the small things for which the client will come back and recommend you to others. Your service and products must be such that the customer regrets his choice if he goes to another master. It must be so good that the client uses you as a model when comparing you to other masters.
How do I create my own coral garden? In 2015, I worked with glue that cost 60 LVL per bottle, which was an American company, as well as other materials from that company. It was also the main key to success, because I wanted to give my clients the best. I also went through training at the same company which paid 500 LVL at the time, I went to other TOP masters – I attended at least 3 qualification raising courses a year. Cheap will rarely be good, that’s my belief. Almost all of us women love branded clothing, purses, etc. It makes us feel better, raise our heads higher, straighten our backs, sometimes also show that we can afford it and, in a sense, status. It must also be with the service – providing “Polish market” quality goods and service invoices with the relevant customer category. It is the same with service, with time your service already becomes like your brand – expensive or “Polish market”, demanded or not demanded already depends on you.
A final tip for creating your own coral garden. Find your “trump”! What do I mean by trump? You can specialize in only one style of eyelash extension and not serve everyone, for example: “Mega Volume”, “M/L curve”, “Kim K”. This is one of the ways to stand out and be in demand – hone and develop one style and do only that, train and do it so well that you are recognizable because of it. Several of my students have done this and the result is excellent. Adding all the above together, the result is excellent.
Remember this! There are two ways to catch a fish:
- Throw the net and wait for a lost fish swimming by to get caught in it.
- Create a beautiful coral garden to which the fish will swim by themselves.
